Abstract

Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors(MPNST)s are rare, but they can be caused by neurofibromatosis type 1(NF1) or prior irradiation.1,7) The common sites in which they can occur are in the proximal upper, lower extremities, and pelvis.1) We elucidate a rare case where sporadic neurofibroma transformed into an enormous MPNST on a scalp of a male patient who has neither NF1 nor a past history of irradiation.
